Southern Maine Pride produces the Parade, Festival and Pier Dance. While there are several Pride events during Pride Week*, the month of June and sometimes throughout the year, most are not part of Southern Maine Pride. The term Pride has become a common word in the GLBT community.
On this page you will find all the "Official" Southern Maine Pride Events. If an event is sponsored by, associated with, a benefit for, or has our organization name attached in some way, the event will be listed here. Events that are Pride related, by simply the word "Pride" or happening during Pride week, will be listed on the City Wide Pride Events page.
*Portland City Council Order 224/08/09 - "Order Declaring 23rd Annual Southern Maine Pride Celebration of Diversity Festival ". This order declares Sunday, June 14, 2009 through Sunday, June 21, 2009 as the 23rd Annual Southern Maine Pride Celebration Festival.
